I have spent lots of times in states where the average citizen (no political connections, not in law enforcement) has no chance of getting a license (NJ, NY, MA). Criminals have access. Obviously, there are places where additional restrictions would be in order, but there is some middle ground, but the gun lobby won't accept even modest limits.</p> I do need to get some of my own thoughts on this up.
