While helping (well, actually watching) me clean out our basement, Christopher discovered Frauke’s typewriter (which he immediately dubbed an “antique”) and asked if he could try it out. This evening we let him at it.
After experimenting a bit, he put in a fresh sheet of paper and spent over an hour preparing a “report” on snakes, with lists of species of snakes, what they eat, what eats them, and where they are found.
Afterwards he declared that, unlike us, he does not need a computer to print things out, he can just do it himself.

Way cool!
I learned how to type on my Mother’s manual typewriter. I would say it took me a good 5 years before I stopped hitting the keys on keyboards too enthusiastically–it was really difficult to get my pinky fingers to type the q, a, and z.
That’s awesome!
I love typewriters – it’s so satisfying to see the letters go straight to the paper.
Goodness, I threw away a typewriter about 7 years ago, and now I’m feeling pangs of guilt.
HAHAHAHA! That’s too funny.
